Busch Gardens Europe Tips

Wear comfortable walking shoes.

Bring sunscreen.

Visit the water rides (Escape From Pompeii, Roman Rapids and Le Scoot) when you need to cool off. You will get wet.

Take advantage of the skyrides that criss-cross the park. This will provide a nice rest plus a magnificent bird's-eye view of the park.

Guests also may want to take a relaxing ride on one of four 36-inch gauge replicas of European steam locomotives that cover a 1.5-mile park tour with stops in Heatherdowns, Festa Italia and New France.

Due to school schedules, April, May, September and October are less crowded.

If visiting on a three-day holiday break, remember that the busiest day is the day in the middle.

In case of inclement weather, plan to visit indoor shows, shops and restaurants.

Take advantage of the air conditioning provided at indoor shows, restaurants and shops during the hottest part of the day.

Plan a central meeting place should someone in your party get lost.

Eat meals at non-peak times to avoid long lines in restaurants. Peak dining times are noon - 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Shop at any time during the day. Park staff will send your packages to Guest Relations at the main entrance of the park for you to pick up before you leave.

Need a locker? Get one early. Quantities are limited.

Purchase tickets in advance to avoid lines on the day you visit.

If packing your own refreshments, use plastic. Glass containers and coolers are not permitted in the park.

Before boarding rides, ask a friend to hold personal belongings. Consider wearing a fanny pack.

Before you begin your day, review the park's daily schedule of special events. Take advantage of all special events as many are included in your general admission ticket price. Remember to arrive early, seating may be limited.

Value:

Inquire about special package rates which include other area attractions and lodging at one price. Two- and three-day tickets and other special rates also are available.

Many local businesses distribute discount coupons for general park admission. Call the park before you visit to find out who is offering discounts. 1-800-343-7946.

If you can't experience the park in one day, take advantage of discounts for return-day tickets. These tickets must be purchased prior to leaving the park.

Kids:

When visiting with little ones keep the following tips in mind:

  • Carry a water bottle.

  • Bring a camera or video camera.

  • Use sunscreen and hats.

  • Pack a change of clothes, children may get wet on water rides and jackets may be needed for cooler evenings.

  • Rental strollers are available at Busch Gardens.

  • Baby changing stations are located throughout the park.
