Shamu Splashes into Cyberspace with New Interactive Web Site for
Kids, Parents
SeaWorld Launches
ShamusHappyHarbor.com
SeaWorld Orlando's popular Shamu's Happy
Harbor just doubled in size and scope - both on land and in cyberspace.
With the launch of the new
ShamusHappyHarbor.com, SeaWorld has captured the attraction's spirit
of fun-filled, interactive learning in a colorful online safe harbor for
parents to explore with even their youngest of children.
Just in time for summer 2007 and opening
of five new shows and rides at SeaWorld,
ShamusHappyHarbor.com offers an engaging way for parents and kids to
explore and learn together.
Designed especially for younger children,
the new Web site features some of SeaWorld's most familiar fins and
faces in a variety of activities based on the rides and characters of
the park's popular play destination, Shamu's Happy Harbor.
Side by side or on "laptop," moms, dads
and kids can test their spelling with Swishy Fishies, play a matching
game with Jazzy Jellyfish, or swing into shape-shifting fun in Ocean
Commotion. Other learning activities include the Flying Fiddler
crab's playful patterns, and paint-and-play fun on the Sea Carousel.
Voice-guided instruction also encourages
older children to develop their own skills, instilling confidence and
independence as youngsters make their way through the easy-to-navigate
virtual harbor. Together or on their own, visitors to the site get
a sample of the SeaWorld experience before they enjoy the park in
person.
SeaWorld has
expended Shamu's Happy
Harbor play destination from 2 to 4 fun-filled acres, adding three
new rides - and even more room to play.
SeaWorld takes families below the
surface, above the waves and beyond their expectations. More than
200 acres of up-close animal encounters, thrilling attractions and
lavish performances immerse guests in the mysteries of the sea.
Whether coming face-to-face with Shamu, feeding dolphins, counting the
teeth of a shark or feeding seals and sea lions, vacation adventures
become lifelong memories at SeaWorld Orlando.
