SeaWorld Orlando Top Tips for Kids and Parents Alike

  • Delighting audiences for more than three decades, "Sesame Street" has docked at SeaWorld Orlando, boasting an all-new Breakfast with Elmo and Friends character connections and an exclusive musical stage production, Elmo and the Bookaneers.  Check your park map for show times and be sure to make your reservations for character dining early.

  • Did you know there is a cozy Baby Care Center in the back of Shamu's Happy Harbor?  With top-of-line changing facilities, private feeding rooms and pint-size potties, this new building gives parents the privacy and comfort of a home-away-from home in the middle of all the fun.

  • Bring a waterproof camera to capture great action shots of the kids in the "Shamu Soak Zone"

  • Don't miss Shamu's Happy Harbor, SeaWorld's wildly popular 4-acre play area.  It's a kid's dream come true, complete with three new rides, a 4-story net climb and a great place for parents to relax in the shade.

  • Hand-feed sea lions, dolphins and stingrays in various areas of the park. Check the feeding times when you arrive and plan to get there early!

  • Look for Shamu & Crew characters from 9am to noon near the front gate.  Be sure to bring a notepad for autographs!

  • Check out the Question and Answer session at the Penguin Encounter (when available).  A penguin expert answers questions while feeding and interacting with the penguins inside the icy habitat.  One lucky guest who answers a special question correctly will get to go behind the scenes.

  • Try out dozens of interactive workstations and computers located throughout SeaWorld.  For example, kids can test their lungpower against a walrus in Wild Arctic, or see how a manatee grinds its food at Manatee Rescue.

  • Take your seat for the sea lion and otter show at least 45 minutes before Clyde and Seamore take over Pirate Island.  You won't want to miss the zany pre-show antics.

  • Temperatures in Orlando can get quite high, especially in the middle of summer.  Plan to take in these "cool places" when the thermometer rises: Wild Arctic, Penguin Encounter and Nautilus Theater.

  • Arrange to have lunch when one of SeaWorld's popular animal shows is going on in the stadiums.  This is when restaurant limes are shortest!
