Restaurants and quick service food are located throughout the
art-deco inspired Backlot. The ABC Soap Opera Bistro, featuring replicas of
actual sets from a variety of ABC daytime dramas provide the dining space.
Guests can enjoy sit-down restaurant service along sudsy inspired
entertainment from the costumed-as-soap-opera-characters service staff. For
a quick chili cheese dog or Sicilian Sausage, step up to the window at Award
Wieners on Hollywood Boulevard for the Best Wiener in a Supporting Role. The
Fairfax Market offers fresh fruit, vegetables and nuts while Hollywood &
Dine pays tribute in its décor to the glamour days of Tinseltown and
features Asian specialties, burgers, deli sandwiches and pizza. Stop at

Shopping
Starting in the Golden State district, theming plays
a key role in every dining and shopping environment. First stop,
Condor Flats, where aviation rules. Shops include: Fly ‘n’ Buy,
reminiscent of an old desert airfield gas station. Here the thrill
of flight inspires guests to relive the dreams of flight pioneers
who reached for the sky. Aviation-inspired product abounds from
authentic flight jackets, to t-shirts, hats and novelty accessories.
Ties, watches, clocks, radios, patches, decals and other aviation
souvenirs are displayed.
Rushin’ River
Outfitters, situated at the edge of Grizzly Peak Mountain, is the
place for the outdoorsman in everyone. Rustic inside and out, the
shop is decorated from floor to ceiling with outdoor gear and offers
merchandise such as backpacks, sport bottles, compass watches,
canteens and rugged clothing that reflect the theme of the area.
Located near Bountiful Valley Farm is Santa Rose Seed and Supply. A
small farm inspired building, it houses a garden of gifts from kids
planting kits to Italian herb garden starters, wine guides, gourmet
sauces, salad dressings and more.
It’s on to the Hollywood Pictures Backlot where glamour, glitz and
tongue-in-cheek fun provide the inspiration for all the shops and
eateries. ABC soap opera aficionados can shop for apparel and themed
merchandise from their favorite TV daytime drama at the ABC Soaplink.
One-of-a-kind pieces actually worn by characters that appear on such
shows as General Hospital, All My Children, Port
Charles and One Life to Live are for sale at this
first-of-it-kind store. The shop also features costume displays and
a video wall showcasing continuous clips from each of the programs.
Shop for tinseltown souvenirs at Gone Hollywood, Muppet keepsakes at
Rizzo’s Prop & Pawn Shop and artistic Gallery pieces and merchandise
inspired by Disney animation, films and attractions at Off the Page.
The sun splashed atmosphere of a California
beachfront amusement pier provides the backdrop for the color and
fun of the shopping experiences offered at Paradise Pier. Among the
fun destinations: Dinosaur Jack’s Sunglass Shack, a huge hot pink
dinosaur sporting yellow polka dots and wearing sunglasses. Step
inside the towering creature where an eclectic mix of trendy shades
can be purchased. Man Hat ‘n’ Beach provides surf-inspired
merchandise and trendy beachwear; Point Mugu Tattoo features a vast
array of fun-filled temporary tattoos and Treasures in Paradise
offers mementos of the California Screamin’ roller coaster along
