Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground Theme: One of the highest-rated campgrounds in the world located on more than 700 acres of cypress and pine woods.
Location: Magic Kingdom Resorts Area.

Transportation: Boat to the Magic Kingdom and Discovery Island. Buses to the Ticket and Transportation Center (and, from there, all Walt Disney World destinations). You can rent an electric golf cart to travel within the campground. There are also internal buses to take you around the campground.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and CampgroundRooms: Featuring 784 campsites with 110/220-volt outlets, grill, and picnic table. Most have disposal hookups. Comfort stations throughout the campgrounds. You can also stay in a one-bedroom Wilderness Home which sleeps up to six people. The Wilderness Home is 504 square feet and features a fully-equipped kitchen and outside picnic area with grill. Another choice is a one-bedroom Wilderness Cabin.  These include a separate sitting area with a Murphy Bed, a fully-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed and a bunk bed, two TV's, and a deck with picnic table and grill.

Dining & Lounges:

  • Crockett's Tavern- $
    Full-service lounge serving cocktails, unique appetizers, and other snacks. A children's menu is available. Open 4 p.m.-11 p.m.

  • Trail's End Buffet - $Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground
    Breakfast, lunch, and dinner featuring home-style meals. Beer and wine are also available.

  • The Chuck Wagon - $
    Serves snacks during the Campfire Program.

  • Hoop-Dee-Doo Revue - $$$
    Pioneer Hall is host to this Disney hoedown with food served family style and all-you-can-eat. Reservations are required.

Child Care Services: KinderCare offers in-room and drop-off child care services. Reservations should be made 24 hours in advance at (407) 287-5444. Resort guests can also use the children's activity centers at the Wilderness Lodge, the Polynesian Resort, Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, and the Boardwalk Inn.

Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and CampgroundRecreation: There are two outdoor, heated pools, two video arcade rooms, several playgrounds, shuffleboard, two tennis courts, horseshoes, tetherball courts, basketball courts, a white sand beach, fitness trail, and fishing. You can rent bikes and boats at the Bike Barn. There are also nature walks, horseback riding (for a fee), and a petting farm. Access to five championship golf courses. The campground is located next to River Country and Discovery Island.

Shopping: Groceries and other supplies are available at the Meadow and Settlement Trading Posts.
