Disney's Polynesian Beach Resort Theme: Lush tropical gardens set the mood for this resort featuring lodgings in buildings reminiscent of the South Pacific.

Transportation: Monorail or watercraft to the Magic Kingdom and monorail to other resorts on the monorail line. Connecting monorail to Epcot. Ferry to Fort Wilderness, Discovery Island and River Country. Monorail or walkway to TTC then bus to the Village Marketplace, Typhoon Lagoon and Pleasure Island. Direct bus to Disney's Hollywood Studios and Blizzard Beach.

Disney's Polynesian Beach Resort
Rooms: 746 Queen rooms (2 queen beds) with daybed. 399 rooms are designated as non-smoking and 17 rooms are disabled-accessible. Concierge rooms available. 5 suites. Typical room is 409 square feet and has an in-room safe, ceiling fan, and a table and chairs. Room views include Garden View, Water View, and Lagoon View.

Dining & Lounges:

  • 'Ohana - $$$
    Character Breakfast buffet every morning. Dinner served in the evening family-style and features foods of the islands including skewers of marinated meats, fresh seafood, and tropical fruits and vegetables.

  • Kona Cafe - $$
    New American cuisine with Asian flavors. All meals served.

  • Captain Cook's Snack & Ice Cream Company - $
    Open 24 hours. Sandwiches, snacks, breakfast items, and ice cream are some of the items available.

  • Barefoot Bar - $
    Poolside bar open seasonally.

  • Tambu Lounge - $
    Serves appetizers, fruit juices, and specialty drinks.

  • Disney's Polynesian Beach ResortPolynesian Luau - $$$
    Polynesian feast held at Luau Cove. 6:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. nightly. Authentic Island hula and fire dancers. Reservations required.

Child Care Services: Neverland Club - 5 p.m.-Midnight, $8/hour/child (3 hour minimum). For children between the ages of 4 to 12. Offers supervised dining and entertainment, including video games, crafts, and Disney movies. Children's buffet from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Reservations required by calling 939-3463.

Disney's Polynesian Beach ResortRecreation: Two heated outdoor pools including one free-form pool with a water slide, wading pool, and swimming in the roped-area of Seven Seas Lagoon. There is a video arcade room (Moana Mickey's Arcade), playground, volleyball, waterskiing, and fishing excursions can be arranged. You can also rent a variety of boats. Access to five championship Disney golf courses.

Shopping: Robinson Crusoe, Esq. for clothing for men; Polynesian Princess for resortwear for women; News from Civilization for sundries, gifts, and items with the hotel and Florida logo; Trader Jack's for souvenirs and other items; Grog Hut for some grocery items, liquor, beer, wine and soft drinks.
