Victoria & Albert's Wins Coveted AAA Five-Diamond Award
LAKE
BUENA VISTA, Fla. -- Victoria & Albert's at Disney's Grand Floridian
Resort & Spa has received the AAA Five-Diamond Award, the only
restaurant in Central Florida to earn the prestigious accolade.
"We are honored," says Chef Scott Hunnel.
"After 10 years with AAA's Four-Diamond Award, we have achieved a new
level of excellence."
The elegant Victoria & Albert's is one of the top
dining destinations at Walt Disney World Resort, with an intimate dining
room, a seven-course menu that's customized daily and an award-winning
wine list.
"AAA's Diamond Rating System is the most respected
lodging and restaurant rating system in the industry," says Alan
Borne, managing director for AAA Publishing. "The Five-Diamond Award
is only given to establishments that exemplify an impeccable standard of
excellence."
Victoria & Albert's is one of 108 lodging and
restaurants that earned Five-Diamond recognition from AAA this year. More
than 41,000 establishments will be listed in the 2001 AAA TourBook guides,
but less than one-half of 1 percent receive the Five-Diamond Award.
To be considered, lodgings and restaurants undergo a
thorough inspection by one of AAA's 60 full-time professional evaluators.
The Diamond Rating System was introduced in 1977.
